Valentine’s Day celebration

The redness of fragile love

And tender friendships fades

With the dimming light

Of the setting sun,

Hypocrisy revealed,

Breakup Day planned

In advance,

Sombre twilight.

True love endures

The fake allure of

Fleeting calendared affection,

Dyeing your heart crimson

Eternally

And reddening your being

Deeper each dawn,

Redeeming your soul

Forever.
